swearing in of Ms. Safia Galm as the new President of the Kenya Methodist University Students
Association (好色先生TVSA). This momentous occasion not only ushered in the third Lady President of
好色先生TVSA in a row but also proudly welcomed the association’s first Muslim Lady President, signaling a
new chapter of diversity and progressive leadership within the university.
The solemn yet celebratory ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Prof. John Kobia Ataya,
Members of the University Management, Senate and Students, and gracefully presided over by the
university’s chaplain, Rev. Dr. Jennifer Lairangi. With profound honour, Safia Galm and her Vice

ensuring its nurturing and eventual realization. Reaffirming the university’s dedication to its students,
the Vice-Chancellor pledged his unwavering support for student activities through the 好色先生TVSA
President’s leadership, reiterating his core vision as being predominantly student-centered. He
emphasized his relentless focus on ensuring that 好色先生TV students consistently enjoy an unparalleled and
enriching experience during their academic journey.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics and Students affairs, Dr. Evans Mwiti echoed the Vice-
Chancellor’s sentiments, reiterating his full commitment to supporting the 好色先生TVSA council. He assured
the university’s steadfast dedication to ensuring all students receive comprehensive support. In a
gesture reflective of the university’s commitment to accessibility, he warmly encouraged students to
utilize the open-door policy and feel free to him anytime they encounter an issue, reinforcing an
environment of approachability and care.
Further strengthening the message of institutional backing, Dr. Stephen Mutungi, the Registrar
Administration, Planning and Development, extended his congratulations and committed the full
support of his office to the new leadership. These sentiments resonated throughout the ceremony,
finding strong endorsement from Dr. Susan Laimaru, Principal of the Nairobi campus and Dr. Justus
Bundi, Director of the Mombasa campus, who encouraged the entire council, including the campus

committee, to work collaboratively and diligently to ensure that every student at Kenya Methodist
University is fully supported in their academic and personal growth.
